I’m Nikki Shockley, a Family Nurse Practitioner based in Northern Minnesota. I’ve spent the last several years sitting across from women in perimenopause — women walking in exhausted, foggy, bloated, anxious, and tired of being told their labs were normal when nothing felt normal. I’ve seen what the medical system gets right, and I’ve seen where it leaves women behind. Most of the women I’ve cared for have spent years and thousands of dollars chasing answers that didn’t deliver. I built Reclaiming Your Gut because I got tired of watching smart, capable women blame their willpower for what was actually a system the medical world hasn’t been trained to see.
